Why is theology so important?

Theology is the study of God through His Word, the scriptures is how God has revealed Himself to us that we may know Him and believe and believing in Christ Jesus (God- the second person of the Trinity) we may have eternal life. (John 6:29)
The only way anyone will see the Kingdom of God is that you must be born again (John 3:3) and being born again means a spiritual rebirth, and whoever is born again believes in Jesus and will not perish (John 3:16) but have eternal life.

Unfortunately, many people are deceived and on the broad road to destruction (Matthew 7:13) and many will stand before the LORD on that day that believe themselves right with God but are not and hear those horrifying words, depart from me you who practice lawlessness (Matthew 7:21-23) and the Bible warns of false prophets who will deceive (Matthew 7:15) so it is so important that once you have been born again and placed faith in Jesus Christ that we study theology, studying the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

Don't follow your heart because your heart will deceive you (Jeremiah 17:9) rather trust in Christ Jesus by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) which is a gift from God because we have all sinned (Romans 3:23) and the penalty for sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus (Romans 6:23).

So if you haven't trusted in Christ do so today, believe that Jesus Christ (God in the flesh, 2nd person of the Trinity) came down born of a virgin, lived a perfect sinless life, and willfully went to the cross laying down His life for sinners, was buried and three days later was raised from the dead, that is the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
Jesus is God (John 1:1-3; 1:18; 20:28; Rom. 9:5; Titus 2:13; Heb. 1:8; 2 Pet. 1:1; 1 John 5:20) believe in Christ today.

To God be the Glory
Grace & Peace

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who

lives in me.And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved

me and gave himself for me.
